Hundreds of unemployed youths fall for a fake recruitment advert in Lagos (photos)
Hundreds of unemployed Nigerian youths today fell for a fake recruitment advert sent out via Whatsapp. A fake message was drafted and sent out by a prankster, claiming that people who have a B.sc and are interested in a 80k salary paying job at a call center in Guaranty Trust Bank plc, should come for an interview by 9am in VI, Lagos. People thought it was true and hundreds of youths, even from outside Lagos, came formally dressed but were shocked to find out it was a hoax. See tweets explaining more on what happened and a video, after the cut.
