“I ran away”- Lady shares heartbreaking encounter after her brother visited girl he met online

A lady has shared a heartbreaking account after her brother visited a girl he met online, with the incident going viral online.

‎The lady, @Ariareign on X (formerly Twitter), shared that her brother met the girl, whose identity wasn’t disclosed, on Facebook four months ago.

‎According to the lady, her brother had been sending gifts and money to the girl and invited her over, which she declined.

‎However, the lady invited her brother over to her residence in the Mainland.

”When he told me about it .I didn’t agree at first coz he wanted us to go together. When I heard the girl lives in the mainland agege specifically I warned him coz we’ve heard stories of how the mainland can be rough. But he was blinded by love and refused. So as a supportive sister I accompanied him there”, The tweet reads in part.

‎Upon their arrival, they met the girl and headed with her to a restaurant, where unexpectedly, 5 boys appeared and started harassing them.

‎Sharing how she handled the situation, the X user tweeted, “I ran away and went to look for help. Before I came with the good strangers they have beaten up my brother and took his phone and everything. We rushed him to the hospital. He got discharged a week later. He’s so heartbroken. I’m never going to the mainland again”.
