“I wanted to convert to Islam for my Muslim lover” – Phyna

Big Brother Naija ‘Level Up’ winner, Phyna, has disclosed that she dated a Muslim lover for whom she was eager to convert to Islam.

The reality star stated that the relationship could not work since his family rejected her despite her expressed willingness to convert from Christianity.

Phyna stated that she is a Catholic who converted to Islam because of her boyfriend, but his family still forbade him from marrying her.

She revealed this in a recent interview with media personality Hero Daniels on Hero’s Therapy, saying that her ex-lover’s sisters and mother threatened to kick her out at one point.

The Edo-born brand spokesperson stated that she eventually quit the relationship, but subsequently discovered she was pregnant and notified her ex-boyfriend, who denied responsibility.

According to her, the man told her that it was her “business,” thus she felt she had no choice but to terminate the pregnancy since the “embarrassment was too great.”

Phyna said; “I left, I went back home and found out I was pregnant. I called him and he said that’s my business. I would have loved to keep the child but the embarrassment was too much.
