I would rather be mocked than silence the name of the one who saved me – Tonto Dikeh says after she got dragged over the video of her conducting deliverance on a school girl

Actress/Evangelist, Tonto Dikeh, says she would rather be mocked, ridiculed or even slain than silence the name of the one who saved me.

Her comment comes days after she got dragged over a video of her conducting deliverance on a school girl. Last week, Tonto visited a school in the FCT to preach the gospel to the students. She then  prayed for one of the female students and conducted a deliverance session, 

The video showing her conducting the deliverance caused a stir online, with some Nigerians applauding her while others viewed her action as child abuse, and even called for her arrest. 

In an apparent response to her critics, Tonto in a post shared on her Instagram page this evening, wrote;

‘’THE ASSIGNMENT GOD HAS PLACED UPON ME IS TOO IMPORTANT TO GET DISTRACTED.

MY EYES ARE ON JESUS AND HE NEEDS NO ONE TO DEFEND HIS NAME.

I EVANGELIST TONTO DIKEH WOULD RATHER BE MOCKED, RIDICULED, OR EVEN SLAIN THAN SILENCE THE NAME OF THE ONE WHO SAVED ME. I REFUSE TO HIDE GOD TO PROTECT MY IMAGE BEFORE MERE MORTALS.

IF IT COMES TO IT, I WILL WEAR MOCKERY LIKE PERFUME AND CARRY REPROACH LIKE A CROWN, BECAUSE HE IS WORTH IT ALL.
