“If you want to die, criticize me in Auchi. I have cult boys that can do anything for me” – Apostle Johnson Suleman boasts(video)

Apostle Johnson Suleman, the General Overseer of Omega Fire Ministries International, has once again ignited controversy following a shocking statement in which he boasted about his followers’ willingness to resort to violence against anyone who criticizes him.

In a viral video that surfaced on social media on Friday, April 4, 2025, the popular cleric made a chilling declaration during a church gathering.

The preacher claimed that speaking against him near his church premises in Auchi, Edo State, could lead to deadly consequences.

“If you want to die and you’ve been praying for death, but it hasn’t come, there’s a way to make it happen,” Suleman said.

“Come to Auchi, stand by the front gate of our church, and say something against me. Somebody will kill you, another will bury you, and the third will be doing praise and worship on your dead body,” he added.

His comments have since drawn heavy criticism online, with many questioning the appropriateness of such statements coming from a religious leader.

Suleman went further to recall an incident involving alleged cultists who confronted an individual for insulting him. According to him, the group beat up the offender and brought him to the cleric to apologize.

“I’ve had cult boys bring people to me and say, ‘This boy was insulting you, we beat him and told him to apologise.’ I asked them, ‘Who are you?’ They said, ‘You no go like who we be, but you don help us.’ Kindness,” Suleman recounted.
