Inuwa Sumaila – Why More PDP Delegates Have Chosen Saraki

Frontline PDP Candidate, Dr. Bukola Saraki has moved to the front of the queue for the PDP primaries, in the past few weeks, his campaign has intensified, he’s visiting multiple states in a day and he recently declared his reason for contesting at a well organized event at the ballroom in Abuja.

The Abuja declaration had almost half of the PDP delegates in the hall (1500) and they all listened to his brilliant speech as he explained the problems plaguing the country and his solutions to each problem. The delegates appeared impressed.

Away from the event, Dr. Saraki released a well detailed policy document that his team travel with to all states, the printed copy of the policy document is handed over to delegates while Dr. Saraki presents himself as the best solution to Nigeria’s tumultuous future. A lot of delegates have confirmed that he’s the only candidate that meets them with this sort of preparation, and solutions to take home, some local candidates have said they copied their manifesto from this well written document.

As the Primaries approach, Dr Saraki has endeared himself and his modern politics to the delegates and these delegates have realized the reason to step into this new era of brilliant, innovative policy positions and this is the reason they are committing their votes to the Ex President of the Senate.

PDP delegates will vote on the 29th of May for the future of their party and Nigeria as the largest opposition party in Africa, their decision will create a ripple effect across the continent for the move into a modern, issue based campaign that will resonate with electorate.
