Invest in your family – Nigerian man advises people after his sister gave him part of her first salary

A Nigerian man, Toyyib Adewale Adelodun, has advised people to invest in their family members’ education and business. 

He gave the advice in a Facebook post on Saturday, March 21, 2026 after his sister gave him a part of her first salary along with a beautiful thank-you note, expressing her gratitude for his support and sacrifices.

According to him, his sister bagged a degree in Computer Science and Masters in Cyber Security while fighting sickle cell disease. 

“Invest in your family! My sister’s first salary came, she left me some cash and a beautiful note. So thoughtful of her. I hope the note is not ChatGPT because it made me cry,” he wrote.

“You cant trust this GenZ. She has always made us proud. Fighting sickle cell, getting her degree in Computer Science and Masters in Cyber Security. Today is not for story. I go party this weekend.”
