Former CNN host, Piers Morgan, has told Cristiano Ronaldo “it is time” to join Arsenal.

Ronaldo has informed Manchester United that he wants to leave the club this summer.

The 37-year-old who finished as a top scorer last season is not keen on playing in the Europa League next season.

He is reportedly unhappy with United’s transfer activity, with the Premier League side yet to add to the squad that finished sixth last season.

Devout Gunners supporter Morgan has now publicly advised Ronaldo to move to the Emirates.

Morgan tweeted: “Cristiano likes breaking new ground in football and I just told him that God and [Gabriel] Jesus up front is an irresistible opportunity.”

Arsenal has wrapped up a £45m transfer for Manchester City striker Jesus, as boss Mikel Arteta looks to add goals to a side who finished fifth last season.
