The candidate of the All Progressives Congress, APC, in Saturday’s Edo State Governorship election suffered a shocking and humiliating defeat in his home local government area, Orhionmwon.

Ize-Iyamu also lost in all the local government areas of Edo South Senatorial District, his home district.

Also, billionaire businessman, Captain Hosa Okunbo, who was Ize-Iyamu’s main financier and backer, suffered a similar defeat in his polling unit and Oredo Local government area. In Oredo Ward 2, Unit 3, APC polled 59 and the PDP polled 198.

THEWILL had earlier called the election in favour of the candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party and incumbent, Godwin Obaseki, who is maintaining a solid and insurmountable lead over Ize-Iyamu.
