Jack Grealish : “Recently I visited Spain to take the stress of being injured out, meanwhile everyone was on international duty . I wanted to stay in a nearby location where FC Barcelona gathers, luckily I was able to get the hotel exactly at the right spot in Barcelona. Through the window you could see Barcelona Lads training that were not on international duty , but I didn’t get enough to watch through the hotel window because it was a bit from distance to my view. Next day I got their training schedule times. I ask the hotel driver to do the drop off exactly where they will pass by. I was craving to see and have a bit of a chat with Leo Messi, Because I knew He was not on international duty hence the South American Qualifiers were postponed . Fortunately enough the gate guards were instructed to let me enter the Barcelona premises because someone there knew i was a professional Footballer, so, they accepted me as a guest. The lads arrived, and I saw a little man coming from distance I walked towards him pretending that I don’t see him, because I wanted that privilege of him to greet me first. I was wrong and disappointed, because the little man didn’t know who I was, He passed me singing. Then, since I was so desperate to meet him, I then accepted the fact that he does not recognize me, I went up the stairs to find him. I called him by “Dr Lionel Messi”, He turned, smiled, waved his hand and continued doing what he was busy with. I said to myself this man maybe thinks I am a staff member who works in this training ground since He does not say anything about me. I went up to the other well English speaking guy I told him to go with me to Messi, so he can translate a bit. The guy told me that Leo do understand when you say “Hi, how are you?, how is everything?”, I went with him to Leo anyway. I greeted him, he was able to understand and talk back. I told him am Jack Grealish from Aston Villa football Club. He then started to recognize me a bit, He asked me in Spanish, but was translated ” are you the tall number 10 boy that I want to be in FC Barcelona?, why are you here when England football team is playing?”.. So those few words from him I felt proud. I told him I was injured,. What a lad. I was able to watch the whole training session. Playing with him at Barcelona would be a great pleasure”
