Controversial influencer, James Brown comes under fire for allegedly misleading Nigerians into believing he visited Bobrisky in Kirikiri Prison.
In an Instagram post on June 7, 2024, James Brown claimed he went to check on Bobrisky’s well-being, alongside photos of himself, his team, and the Deputy Controller of Corrections. However, the absence of any picture with Bobrisky raised eyebrows.
Controversy erupted following the release of an audio clip by influencer VeryDarkMan, in which Bobrisky allegedly confessed to serving her sentence outside the prison.
However, a source speaking to Instablog9ja claimed that James Brown’s visit was not to see Bobrisky, but to make music with an imprisoned singer named Vindicate.
The source alleged that James Brown had visited Vindicate as part of a collaboration, which included recording a song and shooting a video inside the prison with the permission of the Nigerian Correctional Service (NCoS) authorities in Abuja.
The source further alleged that Bobrisky had only spent three weeks in Kirikiri Prison before being discreetly relocated, casting doubt on James Brown’s original claim.
These revelations have fueled online speculation and criticism, with many questioning the true intent of James Brown’s prison visit and accusing him of using the situation for publicity.
James Brown has yet to respond to the growing accusations, and Bobrisky has remained silent on the issue. Social media is currently abuzz with reactions, as Nigerians await clarification on the matter.
