Jeju Air Plane Crashes In South Korea. 179 Dead, 2 Survivors

The plane was carrying 175 passengers & 6 crew members.
On Dec 29, 2024 local time, the National Fire Agency said “Of the 181 passengers on the crashed aircraft, all are presumed dead except for 2 survivors.”

A Jeju Air Boeing 737-800 series aircraft crashed at Muan International Airport in South Korea at 9:07 AM on Dec 29, 2024, local time.

This aircraft was manufactured in August 2009 as a 737-8AS with 189 seats. The aircraft’s age is classified as relatively new at 15 years.

The reported cause of the crash was a malfunction of the landing gear.
