Luka Jovic has called on people to stay in their homes to avoid spreading coronavirus.
Like all other Real Madrid players, the Serbian is self-isolating at home after one of the club’s basketball players, Trey Thompkins, tested positive for the virus.
Spanish prime minister Pedro Sanchez has declared a state of emergency across the country as cases of coronavirus soar.
“We went to train [on Thursday] morning, but the administrators came and said they we wouldn’t have training at any point over the next two weeks,” Jovic told B92.
“We must all stay at home and not leave Madrid.”
Jovic also admitted that he’d been training with Thompkins while recovering from a recent injury.
“Since I got injured and I wasn’t training for two or three days, I was in the same recovery groups as a player with coronavirus.
“I don’t have any symptoms. I feel absolutely fine.”
