A magistrate’s court sitting at Mallam Aminu Kano International Airport in Kano sentenced former Kannywood actress, Sadiya Haruna, to six months in prison without an option of a fine.

She was arraigned before the court on charges of defaming her ex-boyfriend and singer, Isa A. Isa. However, much seems not to be known about the actress and social media influencer Sadiya Haruna. 

Here are six things you probably do not know about Sadiya Haruna:

— Her first debut in a Kannywood film was in 2017 when she was cast in ‘Bakon Lagos’ which means, Lagos visitor.

— Her trail of controversies began in 2018 when she accused the Kannywood Chairman of the Actors guild, Alhassan Kwalle, of duping her when she tried producing her own film.

— At a point in her life, she was ordered by a court in Kano State to attend an Islamiyya school for six months as she was found guilty of sharing snippets of seductive dances and other activities on her Instagram and YouTube channels.

— It was also reported that the Kannywood filmmaking industry disowned her in 2021 saying she had since seized to be their member.

— She was once married to Isa. I. Isa whom she made some false claims on and he filed a case against her which she was recently convicted on and she will serve six months jail term.

— For years, she has dumped acting for her social media business where she sells several products.
