Hm, wonder who this may be targeted at?

Katy Perry took to Instagram earlier today to share a cryptic message about friendship, which instantly caused everyone to wonder what this post is really about.

The quote read, “Chang-an writes, ‘If one befriends another person but lacks the mercy to correct him, one is in fact his enemy.’ The consequences of a grave offense are extremely difficult to erase. The most important thing is to continually strengthen our wish to benefit others.—Nichiren.”

Perry then simplified the message in the caption, by writing, “Aka if they ya true homie and they ain’t actin right, smack em wit love or else they gonna get k.o. from the universe n s–t.”

This was exactly her quote “Aka if they ya true homie and they ain’t actin right, smack em wit love or else they gonna get k.o. from the universe n sh.it??”

Now, is it possible that Perry just came across this quote (on Pinterest or something) and just felt that the moral of the story really resonated with her beliefs, and therefore decided to share that thought with the masses on social media? Sure.

But that’s no fun. So we begin to speculate, and the first thing that comes to mind isRyn Weaver.

In case you missed it, fellow singer Weaver caused an uproarwith Katy Cats on Twitter earlier this week when she called Katy Perry out as a “bully.”

Oh yes, that happened. Apparently, Weaver and thePrismsinger, who she said was once a friend, had a less-than-friendly encounter, according to Weaver, which prompted the Twitter sound-off.

The tweet that set it off? “No offense @katyperry but considering how much of a bully you were to me… I hope u don’t mind my mindful disagreement w ur $$ endorsement.” (Sorry, it’s been deleted, so you won’t find it anymore).

When recounting the night in question, Weaver said Perry was “staring at me the whole time,” and made alleged rude remarks while out with friends.

“She proceeded to alert her entire posse saying ‘That Ryn Weaver girl is soooo obsessed with me’ loud enough for my entire group of friends to hear.

While talking the WHOLE NIGHT loud enough for me to hear, after pretending I didn’t even exist.”

Could this quote be Katy’s indirect response to Weaver? Is she talking to someone entirely different? Is she addressing anyone at all?

This is yet another unsolved mystery in the case of ambiguous Instagram posts.
