Arsenal forward Kelechi Nwakali is set to join Porto on loan.
The 20-year-old was signed by the Gunners in 2016 but has not yet made an appearance for the club.

Nwakali has played the last two seasons on loan in the Netherlands with MVV Maastricht and VVV-Venlo, scoring eight goals in 64 appearances.

But the Nigerian striker is now set to complete a surprise move to Porto on loan and will begin pre-season training with the Portuguese club.

‘I am excited to join the best club in Portugal and I will make my loan from Arsenal count,’ Nwakali told Score Nigeria.

‘I have longed to play in a competitive league which this opportunity has given me and I will grab it with both hands.’

The golden boy starred in a friendly match between a reserve Nigerian team and a weakened Atletico Madrid side, sparking calls from fans for his inclusion in, at least, the Nigerian National team who were bound for the World Cup.

Porto will be playing in the UEFA Champions League.
