Kidnapped UNILORIN student, Rhoda’s last WhatsApp message surfaces

The last WhatsApp message of Rhoda, a UNILORIN student who was kidnapped while on her way to Port Harcourt for NYSC, has surfaced online.

This was shared in a post on the popular social media platform X (formerly Twitter).

An influencer who shared the post had previously sought the public’s help to raise ₦2.5 million for the student’s release.

In an update on Rhoda’s situation, the influencer wrote: “This was Rhoda this morning. I can’t imagine the trauma she is going through. It’s been 15 hours already. I just need her out as soon as possible.”

The post also included a comment addressing critics of the fundraising: “Some people said raising the money is not the solution. Gun don touch you before?”

As the post gained attention, concerned individuals flooded the comment section, sharing their thoughts.
