Kwankwaso Will Not Be Rejoining The APC – Buba Galadima

Buba Galadima, the leader of the New Nigeria People’s Party (NNPP), has refuted allegations that the party’s 2023 presidential candidate, Dr. Rabiu Musa Kwankwaso, intends to rejoin the All Progressives Congress (APC).

Galadima emphasized that the NNPP is focused on demonstrating its commitment to effective governance, asserting that only those who have failed politically discuss future elections while still in office.

It is worth noting that Dr. Abdullahi Umar Ganduje, the National Chairman of the APC, recently speculated about Kwankwaso’s potential return to the ruling party, suggesting that the former presidential candidate is poised to make a comeback.

Ganduje made these comments during a visit from the Tinubu Support Group in Abuja, highlighting that the APC continues to attract significant political figures, including members of the federal legislature.

He expressed anticipation for Kwankwaso’s return to the party. However, in an interview with The Guardian regarding this matter, Galadima argued that it is only due to President Bola Tinubu’s influence that someone like the former governor of Kano could hold the position of chairman in a national party.

Galadima contended that no rational individual in Kano or elsewhere in the country should take pride in being associated with the APC under Ganduje’s leadership, claiming that the national chairman seeks to leverage the NNPP for media attention.

He remarked, “I am hearing this from you. If we were to join the APC, would Nigerians hear this from Ganduje? In fact, because of him, no one would want to join the APC. Only Tinubu could appoint Ganduje as party chairman.

“How can Ganduje hold any leadership position? They are the ones who keep us in the news because of their confusion. Everything is falling apart across the nation.

“These are the same individuals who utilize social media and propaganda to undermine us in the NNPP. If they are not alleging that Kwankwaso is working for President Tinubu, they will spread rumors that he is traveling to France to lobby the President.”
