Lady sparks conversation about Itoku market after revealing how furious her mother was over a waistbead that broke when she was receiving ‘backshots’

A Nigerian lady has ignited a wave of online discussion after sharing a personal anecdote about a traditional waist bead that snapped during an intim@te moment, leading to a heated reaction from her mother.

The young woman, who goes by the X handle @maintishe, posted a tweet that quickly went viral. In the tweet, she explained that the women in her family wear very specific waist beads sourced from Itoku Market in Abeokuta, a renowned cultural hub for traditional beads and artefacts. According to her, while she was “getting backshots,” the beads unexpectedly broke, prompting a barrage of questions and anger from her mother, who was evidently upset about it.
