Frank Lampard reacted as N’Golo Kante return ahead of Chelsea Premier League clash with Liverpool on Sunday at Stamford Bridge.  

The 28-year-old midfielder has been on the sidelines after picking an ankle injury during his side’s 1-1 draw with Leicester City in the Premier League seeing the France International missing the Blues four matches.Kante resumed training this week and Lampard believes the return of the 2018 FIFA World Cup winner will be a huge boost to the Chelsea when they take on the Liverpool. Blues coach said: “It’s a boost with N’Golo. We all know the importance of him for the team with the attributes that he brings,””The only question for me is how fit he is because he’s had a long time out now since the back end of last season.”

“I know he played a couple of games this year but I didn’t count them as such because he missed the pre-season and what he did in Istanbul was miraculous as opposed to the norm, to play how he did without training.”Chelsea currently sit on eight points from their opening five games, however, that’s still seven behind the Liverpool who have made the perfect start of five wins from five to begin.Lampard met Jurgen Klopp’s men in the Super Cup at the start of the finals where Blues lost on penalties.
