Swedish and Celtic legendary striker Henrik Larsson has been voted Britain’s favourite number seven ever.
Larsson left Celtic in 2004 after scoring 242 goals in 313 appearances in all competitions.
He went on to spend the next two years at Barcelona winning the Champions League in 2006 before returning to the UK to join Manchester United on a two-month loan in 2007.
And despite making just seven appearances in that time – scoring one goal – he became a firm favourite with the Old Trafford club’s fans.
Now, Larsson has another achievement to his name after being crowned British football’s all-time favourite number seven.
Sports platform OLBG analysed tens of thousands of posts from fans on social media in compiling their list.
That involved looking at volume, interactions and text sentiment analysis.
And their research has Larsson finishing ahead of Liverpool legend Kevin Keegan and returning Man United superstar Cristiano Ronaldo.
Former Anfield favourite Luis Suarez and Bayern Munich icon Bastian Schweinsteiger made the top five.
While the rest of the list includes such footballing greats as Luis Figo, George Best and Raul and Liverpool hero Kenny Dalglish.
