Erling Haaland has got Leeds United fans excited after he swapped shirts with their player Stuart Dallas last night.

The Borussia Dortmund goal machine struck two superb goals, including a glorious side-foot volley, as Norway thumped Northern Ireland 5-1 in the UEFA Nations League – even paying tribute to his hero by imitating former Swansea City striker Michu’s celebration after scoring his 18th goal of 2020.

Then, just after the game, Haaland was seen going out of his way to swap shirts with Dallas, who played 41 times and was voted the club’s Player of the Year as they won promotion to the Premier League last season.

Having been born in the Yorkshire town while his dad Alf-Inge was playing there, Haaland has a strong affiliation for Leeds – and their supporters absolutely loved him wanting to swap shirts with one of their players.

Speaking after the game about his decision to swap shirts with Dallas, the 20-year-old told Norwegian TV: “I think he is a great player and the best Northern Ireland player out there today.”

Former Red Bull Salzburg and Molde man Haaland has gone on record to reveal his love for Leeds and how he wants to win the Premier League with the Elland Road outfit.

He told Norwegian newspaper Aftenposten: “I want to be the best possible. The dream is to win the Premier League with Leeds.

“In addition, the goal is to become a better player than my dad was. I hope to get more caps than he did.”
