Leicester City has joined the race to sign Real Madrid striker Luka Jovic as the Foxes aim to rival AC Milan and Inter Milan for the signature of the Serbian star.

Real Madrid is ready to listen to offers for the attacker they signed just last season after he was transfer-listed by the Real Madrid hierarchy as reported by Marca.

The report in Daily Star and LeicestershireLive reported that Brendan Rodgers is keen on signing the 22-year-old ace this summer.

Jovic has failed to show the form that made Real Madrid to pay £54 million transfer to Eintracht Frankfurt, he scored 27 goals for the German side last season but his performance in Real Madrid colours is nothing to write home about.

Jovic was signed with the aim of giving competition to Karim Benzema at Real Madrid but he could not measure up in his debut season, he made just seven starts in all competitions and scored just twice.

Jovic non-sporting behaviour has turned the spotlight on him after he flaunted Real Madrid protocols during the coronavirus lockdown and he also attended a barbecue party with his fellow La Liga Serbian footballers Nemanja Maksimovic and Ivan Saponic an act that erupted the vexation of Real Madrid hierarchy and Leicester could be looking to capitalise with a cut-price deal.
