Manchester United midfielder Jesse Lingard will not be joining Tottenham this summer – according to The Athletic.

The 27-year-old has been linked with a switch to north London in recent days, but Spurs head coach Jose Mourinho is not interested in reuniting with a man he worked with while in charge at Old Trafford.

Lingard has fallen out of favour at United in recent months, and was left out of Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s squad as the team suffered a surprise defeat in their first game of the new season against Crystal Palace on Saturday.
