Football star, Lionel Messi who has been sidelined for three weeks has been pictured for the first time since breaking his arm while playing for Barcelona. Lionel Messi was pictured wearing sling for the first time as Barcelona prepared to face Inter Milan and Real Madrid without him. The Argentine striker fractured a bone in his right arm during the Bracelona win over Sevilla on Saturday.

Following last Saturday’s game, Messi was taken to the clinic at Barcelona’s training ground and the club were hopeful the injury was nothing more than a ‘hyper-extension’ around his right elbow.But the club’s initial hopes were dashed when the prognosis came back he had fractured the arm, which could potentially see him miss six games.

The footballer star who will miss Champions League clash with Inter Milan on Wednesday and Sunday’s El Clasico with Real Madrid was pictured donning a sling to protect his injured arm as he stepped out on Monday with his wife Antonella Roccuzzo and one of his sons, Thiago.
