The Reds star has shown his support in repairing damaged properties belonging to Cairo University
Liverpool star Mohamed Salah made a donation of £2.5 million for the renovation of the National Cancer Institute in Cairo following Monday’s terrorist attack.
An accident involving multiple cars happened in the early hours of Monday, near the Cairo University-affiliated institute leaving at least 20 people dead and with 47 injured.
According to Egypt Independent, the University President, Mohamed Otham ElKhosht disclosed the humanitarian gesture made by the Reds forward in a TV program.
After the attack, the 27-year-old took to social media to send condolences to the victims of the attack.
“My full support and condolences to the families of victims of the explosion of the Oncology Institute,” Salah tweeted.
On Friday night, Salah will be hoping to play a part when Liverpool open their 2019-20 Premier League campaign against Norwich City at Anfield.
