Man assaults woman while trying to steal her child after she refuses to let go

A Nigerian man has been accused of assaulting a woman while attempting to steal her child after she refused to let go.

The disturbing incident was shared on X (formerly Twitter), where the man, identified as a mallam, was captured being apprehended by bystanders.

According to a narrator in the video, the mallam allegedly tried to forcefully take the child from the woman.

When she resisted, he attacked her and inflicted serious injuries in an attempt to overpower her.

Despite the assault, the woman held on tightly to her child until members of the public intervened and prevented the man from fleeing.

The video has since sparked outrage online, with many calling for justice and condemning the attempted abduction.
