Man calls out event host over support for Tinubu after booking cancellation

A Nigerian man has gone viral after expressing frustration over his cancelled event booking, which he linked to political loyalty displayed by a man he had hired.

In a video circulating online, the man criticized individuals who publicly support political figures, warning them to ensure such “mandates” are financially beneficial.

He alleged that after paying a the man for an event, he later discovered the entertainer had posted birthday messages in support of Bola Ahmed Tinubu, prompting him to cancel the booking.

According to the man, despite informing the man of the cancellation and requesting a refund, the man began enquiring why he had changed his mind.

He said…

“People that are standing on mandates, be careful of the mandates you are standing on. Ensure it’s that mandate that is feeding you. E get a person wey I done book for events. I done send money. Na him, last week, him don post for him status: Happy birthday, my father. Happy birthday, my this, my… I come realize say this boy, dey stand on mandate, I call am, give me my money back. No, he say wetin happen, I say I don find new person, no vex. Give my money back. I experience Canada, you can not even stress me. Give me my money back.

Ensure that mandate is feeding you. Because me and you cannot leave our country, I come here. You, you run away from there, I come here. And you are wishing your father happy birthday. You don’t give my money back. Give my money back!”
