Man gives Keke rider ₦500 after he returned ₦2.5 million mistakenly transferred to him

A Nigerian man has sparked reactions online after sharing the story of a commercial tricycle rider, popularly known as a keke rider, who reportedly returned ₦2.5 million mistakenly transferred to his account by a passenger.

The incident, shared on X, highlighted the rider’s honesty despite facing financial temptation after discovering the huge sum in his account.

According to the narrator, the keke rider explained that the incident happened shortly after he dropped off a passenger at a bank earlier in the day.

The passenger allegedly intended to transfer ₦2,500 for transportation but mistakenly sent ₦2.5 million instead.

Recounting the experience, the man quoted the rider as saying the unexpected bank alert left him confused and overwhelmed with different thoughts.
