Man loses pregnant wife, unborn baby as Owerri doctor uses YouTube videos for surgery

A Nigerian man has reportedly lost his pregnant wife and unborn children after a doctor in Owerri allegedly relied on a YouTube video to perform surgery on her.

The tragic incident was shared in a viral post on X (formerly Twitter), where it was revealed that the matter has been reported to the police.

The grieving husband recounted his experience at the hospital, claiming that the doctor initially called another person to assist with the surgery.

However, upon arrival, the medical team allegedly resorted to watching YouTube videos to learn how to operate.

“In the operating room, I saw them pressing their phones, watching YouTube to learn how to perform the surgery,” he stated.

As the story gained traction online, social media users flooded the comment section with reactions, expressing shock and outrage over the incident.
