According to his account, an unknown individual sent the money to his OPay account and immediately called him, requesting that the funds be returned, but to a different account.
Sensing foul play, the man chose to return the money to the original sender’s account instead of following the caller’s instructions.
He explained that the situation quickly became tense after he refused to comply, noting how scammers are now adopting more sophisticated tactics to deceive unsuspecting individuals.
In the video shared online, he was heard confronting the scammer over the incident.
He partly said …
“You think I don’t know what you want to do? You want to use me as middle man okwa ya? Hope you’re not m@d.
