Man stabs caretaker, accuses him of wizardry

A man, simply identified as Nnanna, has reportedly stabbed his 65 year old caretaker, Mr Monday, accusing him of wizardry.

The incident occured on Wednesday, at 37 Okwelle Street, Mile 2 Diobu, Port Harcourt City Local Government Area of Rivers State.

It was gathered that the suspect stabbed the victim on the neck and head after accusing him of being behind his misfortunes.

Nnana however, fled after allegedly committing the crime and is nowhere to be found.

Reuben who was still in pain said the suspect had picked up a bottle, smashed it and stabbed him Tuesday night and later returned yesterday and stabbed him on the head.

He narrated, “I am the caretaker of 37, Okwelle Street, Mile 2 Diobu. Nnanna stabbed me. We were packing sand and I called him to shift one side that we want to pack sand. He picked offence and said why did I call him, that ‘don’t I know I am a wizard? And that he was bearing gudge against me and that he will kill me and run away.

“He went and carried bottle and broke it, he came and stabbed me. He stabbed me on the neck Tuesday night. This earlier morning, he barged into my house and stabbed me on the head.”

He added that the case has been reported at the Azikiwe Police Division.
