Manchester United will continue the building of their squad with a move for Liverpool’s £30m target Thiago Alcantara this summer, according to Bild.

The Spanish international is set to leave Bayern Munich after the club confirmed that the player who has a year left on his contract at the Allianz Arena has decided not to renew with the Bavarians.

The 29-year-old was immediately linked with newly crowned Premier League Champions as Jurgen Klopp is a huge admirer of the player but fresh reports from Germany are confident the midfielder will be snapped up by Manchester United.

Interestingly, the arrival of Bruno Fernandes and return to form of Paul Pogba, hasn’t stopped United manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer from looking for a creative player in the middle of the pitch.

Bruno has been a revelation since he moved to Manchester United in January and proved again why he was highly rated on Saturday when he scored and had an assist to help the club hammer Bournemouth 5-2 at Old Trafford.

Bayern are open to selling Thiago for £30m but Manchester United may miss out on the player if they fail to grab a champions league spot for next season.
