Manchester United will have the opportunity of signing French winger Ousmane Dembele for €50m (£45m) during the January transfer window according to reports.

Barcelona refused to loan the player to Old Trafford this summer, insisting on an outright sale which Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s side declined but the Catalans would reportedly be prepared to sell in the winter transfer window.

The France international has only played 20 minutes of La Liga football this season and his current deal at Camp Nou is due to expire in the summer of 2022.

According to Sport, Barcelona are wary of allowing the World Cup winner’s deal to run into next season and would therefore be prepared to sell him for €50m (£45m) in the winter window.

Dembele was already in talks with Juventus over a move to Turin, according to a separate report but Manchester United could allegedly be convinced to move for the former Borussia Dortmund star in January if he can prove his fitness in the coming months.
