Manchester United have reportedly identified two players to sign if Barcelona’s Frenkie de Jong refuses a move to Old Trafford this summer.

Man United is keen to sign De Jong from Barcelona this summer.

The Red Devils are said to have agreed to a £63.5m deal with Barcelona to sign the 25-year-old midfielder, who remains reluctant to leave the Catalan club.

However, Man United have contingency plans in place if the Dutch star refuses the transfer to the Premier League giants.

BBC Sport reported that Man United have shortlisted a number of names who profile similarly to De Jong.

Two of the alternatives that Man United could target are Leicester City’s Youri Tielemans and Wolves’ Ruben Neves.

Tielemans only has one year left on his deal at the King Power Stadium, meaning that he might be available for a cut-price fee this summer, While Neves has long been expected to leave Wolves for a higher calling, but he is tied down to Molineux until 2024.
