Mandela’s grandaughter, Zoleka laid to rest(video)

What was expected to be a solemn and tranquil day took an unexpected turn of events during Zoleka Mandela’s burial.

Contrary to the initial reports, Zoleka was not interred alongside her grandmother Winnie Madikizela-Mandela at the Fourways Memorial Park on Friday. This deviation occurred after Zenani Mandela obtained a court order to prevent her from being laid to rest at the Mandela family burial site.

Consequently, law enforcement was called upon to ensure that she was not buried in proximity to her relatives. Zoleka’s mother, Zindziswa Mandela, and her two children are also interred on the same plot. Tragically, her 13-year-old daughter perished in a car accident in 2010, and she subsequently lost a prematurely born son.
