“Mo wa pa” Rihanna struggles to learn Yoruba as a fan coaches her (video)

Rihanna was open to learning Yoruba when a fan offered to be her coach. 

The singer was at a promo event for her brand, Fenty, when the Nigerian fan decided to teach her Yoruba. 

The fan asked her to say “mo wa pa,” which is Yoruba for “I am fine.” 

Rihanna struggled at first, especially with getting the right accent. But she finally managed to pronounce it and the fan gave her a high five. 

As they posed for photos, Rihanna is seen repeatedly saying “mo wa pa”.
