Mob sets two suspected robbers set ablaze in Benue (video)

An angry mob has set two suspected robbers ablaze in Gboko, Benue State.

The incident occurred near the Government Secondary School Shopping Complex on Wednesday, December 3, 2025. 

According to eyewitnesses, the suspects were caught after allegedly attempting to rob commuters in the busy area. 

Before security operatives could arrive, residents took matters into their own hands, descended on the suspects and set them ablaze. 

Security operatives, including officers from the Nigeria Police Force, were reportedly dispatched to the scene to restore order and retrieve the remains of the suspects.

The Benue State Police Command is yet to issue an official statement regarding the incident.
