This unfortunate incident happened on December 28th 2015 at Effurun, Sapele road, Delta state. According to a LIB source, the woman confronted her husband, known locally as Papa Ovie, after he returned home that night, a day after he left home. During the confrontation Mama Ovie accused Papa Ovie of cheating on her and spending the night with his mistress and before the man could say jack, she allegedly brought out fuel and threatened to set him ablaze. That was when their first son, Ovie (pictured right) intervened and tried to stop his mum from carrying out her threat.
While, they were struggling with the petrol, it poured on both of them and unfortunately there was a stove with fire nearby and it immediately ignited and set both mum and son on fire. They were both rushed to the hospital for treatment. Unfortunately, Ovie died on January 11th from first degree burns. The mum is still in hospital…
