According to Bello, Nigerians should be happy with the combination of APC presidential candidate, Bola Tinubu and Kashim Shettima as running mates.

Kogi state governor, Yahaya Bello has stated that the controversial Muslim/Muslim ticket of the All Progressives Congress, APC, is a perfect match.

He said this while urging Nigerian politicians to remove religion from politics.

He spoke while appearing on Channels Televisions programme, Sunrise Daily.

According to Bello, Nigerians should be happy with the combination of APC presidential candidate, Bola Tinubu and Kashim Shettima as running mates.

He said: “On the issue of this Muslim-Muslim ticket, it’s high time we take religion out of politics. Nigerian politicians should be more mature; we should take politics out of it.

“Tinubu-Shettima is a perfect match. When you have a one-on-one with these gentlemen, you will know that we are coming up with a combination that Nigerians will be happy with.

“Tinubu and Shettima are a complete departure from what is happening now.”

Nigerians have decried and condemned the APC’s Muslim-Muslim presidential ticket.
