A Nigerian woman has donated N500,000, her one month’s salary, to support children among the returnees from South Africa.

Several Nigerians were forced to return home in September as a result of attacks in Johannesburg and some other parts of South Africa.
However, there have been renewed attacks on Nigerians resident in the country despite President Muhammadu Buhari meeting his South African counterpart, Cyril Ramaphosa, to find a solution to the attacks.
The woman, whose name was not mentioned, met the chairman/chief executive officer of the Nigerians in Diaspora Commission (NIDCOM), Abike Dabiri-Erewa, on Thursday.

Mrs Dabiri-Erewa shared a picture of the woman’s visit to her office on Twitter.
“This selfless lady donated 500,000 Naira, her one month’s salary to Nigerian returnees, specifically to support the children among them. She says she is s two-time cancer survivor, determined to help out, whenever she can. Her speech, when she visited, was so moving,” she wrote.
