The uncertainties surrounding Victor Osimhen’s much-anticipated switch to Napoli have been finally laid to rest after both parties come to terms over the long-awaited transfer.

Corriere dello Sport reported in Italy today that both parties have set five days ultimatum to seal Osimhen deal following the twists and turns that have characterized negotiations for weeks Most importantly, an agreed sum of €4m a year deal have been mooted by Napoli and Osimhen’s camp to finally rule out Liverpool in the race to sign the Nigerian young striker.

The 21-year-old hitman had parted ways his former agent, Jean-Gerard Benoit Czajka/Didier Frenay and has now engaged the services a new agent under the direction of Lille president Gerard Lopez. Both Czajka and Frenay accompanied the Lille striker when he visited Naples to meet with Napoli owner and coach. Meanwhile, Osimhen’s former agent Franço Lovino revealed that Lille is not interested in selling it’s prized striker to any club other than Napoli.

“It was not clear what happened. Perhaps something fishy went down, probably between the Presidents of Lille and Napoli,” Iovino told Radio Punto Nuovo, according to Football Italia. “The negotiations didn’t slow down because of Star Factory but because the player kept hesitating. William D’Avila is a home agent in Lille. The club will surely have advised Osimhen to leave us and go with him.

“They will certainly have promised him money. Lille for some reason wanted to only sell to Napoli, because there’s an excellent relationship between the Presidents. “At the moment, my company doesn’t need to look itself in the mirror, the two clubs do.”
