According to a recent report from Gazzetta dello Sport, Napoli are willing to sell star defender Kalidou Koulibaly during next summer’s transfer window if they receive a notable offer for the defender. The club’s president Aurelio De Laurentiis wants to completely change the look of the first team squad with several players including Jose Callejon, Dries Mertens, Allan, Lorenzo Insigne, Faouzi Ghoulam and Elseid Hysaj all being linked with moves away.

Whether or not any of those deals actually come to fruition is a different matter altogether, but either way, you just know that a series of top European clubs are going to be keeping a close eye on Koulibaly over the course of the next few months.

Manchester United are well known admirers of his work and could be one of the first sides to go back in for him after hearing this news – but they certainly won’t be the only ones.
