Super Eagles midfielder Wilfred Ndidi lent his voice to the movement against rape following the death Miss Uwaila Vera Omozuwa a 100-level student at the University Of Benin.
The 22-year-old microbiology student was raped and then brutally assaulted at a Redeemed Christian Church of God (RCCG) in Benin City, where she was studying.
Her death sparked outrage across Nigeria with protesters saying they are tired of how the country women are being raped and sexually assaulted daily.
Leicester City star has now joined politicians as he took to the social media handle to post a message with the caption: Say no to rape.
Ndidi who welcomed a baby girl with his spouse earlier this month has resumed training with Leicester City teammates at the club facility with 2019-20 Premier League season will restart on June 17.
