Newly married woman raped, stabbed to death in Kano

The police in Kano is currently investigating the rape and murder of a newly married woman in Sha’iskawa village ‎Danbatta local government of Kano state on Saturday July 16th. The woman’s husband who is a businessman, was away in Abuja for business when the attack happened. The couple married just a few days before the attack.
Kano state police command spokesperson, Magaji Majiya, ‎while confirming the incident, said when the case was reported on Sunday July 17th, the police arrived the scene and confirmed the woman had been raped and then stabbed. The knife used by her attacker was found at the scene of the incident. He said no arrest has been made but investigation is ongoing.
