Chelsea defender Thiago Silva wants a contract extension at the Stamford Bridge despite just arriving in the last summer.

The Brazilian defender signed one year contract with the London based club after he was released by Paris Saint-Germain in the just-concluded season.

Silva helped Paris Sant-Germain to Champions League final but lost to Bayern Munich in the final and despite being 36, the central defender still has a lot to offer and he wants to extend his deal beyond the end of the season, according to report in The Telegraph.

Thomas Tuchel is a huge fan of the former AC Milan defender, the pair worked together at their time at Paris, Silva is currently sidelined with a thigh injury, which he sustained in Chelsea’s win over Tottenham Hotspur last week.
