Nigeria Super Eagles Goalkeeper Diagnosed With Acute Leukaemia (Blood Cancer)

Super Eagles/Wolverhampton Wanderers goalkeeper, Carl Ikeme, has been diagnosed with leukemia, following concerning blood test results during his pre-season training testing.

The club confirmed the long-serving stopper’s illness in a statement on Wednesday evening, sending a strong message of support to the man who joined the club in 2003.

Ikeme has been unfortunate with injuries and therefore has spent a lot of recovery time out on loan, allowing him to play for and influence many sides.
