Nigerian U23 striker David Okereke scored twice for Club Brugge in the 3-0 victory over Francs Borains in the Belgium Cup win.
The 22-year-old former Spezie star led the line alongside new signing Mbaye Diagne but the visitors had to wait till the 71st minute to open the scoring when South Africa’s Percy Tau showed great composure to put his side 1-0 up.
Okereke then made it 2-0 ten minutes later when he beat the offside trap to net his fifth goal of the campaign before he then sealed the win five minutes later to complete a resounding victory for The Blue-Black to progress to the last eighth which gets underway in December. Club Brugge will now turn their attention to this weekend’s league game away at KV Mechelen as they hope to stretch their unbeaten run to 13 games having not suffered any loss in all competitions this season before traveling to Santiago Benerbue to battle Real Madrid in the UEFA Champions.
