A Nigerian man shared a heart-breaking experience about how he ended up blind, recounting how a football caused further damage to his eyes shortly after surgery.
This was revealed in a series of posts he made available on his page on a popular social media platform.
In the posts, the Nigerian man explained that he was born with cataracts. His mother took him for surgery at birth, which initially allowed him to see.
While he was able to see after the surgery, he maintained that the issue worsened again as he approached the age of 12. Once more, his mother took him for surgery.
After these surgeries, he added that not long after, he started experiencing pain in his eyes again and could barely see.
Due to these new developments, his mother had to save up for another eye surgery. After that, he regained his sight.
He revealed that he visited a football field where his friends were playing football, and it was there that a football hit his eyes. Due to the impact, he immediately lost his sight.
He added that his mother took him to the hospital to complain, but the doctor told her it was a fresh injury, hence nothing could be done about it.
Eventually, the treatment given to him through an injection totally damaged the other eye.
He concluded his statement by maintaining that this was how he lost his sight as he battles glaucoma.
His statement attracted the attention of many social media users who flooded the comment section with their thoughts.
