Nigerian striker Dudu Omagbemi has cancelled his contract with European club Oskarshamns AIK.

The Swedish club announced they understand why Omagbemi opted to terminate his contract.

“He (Omagbemi) has his base in Finland and has been home with the family lately. He has young children and we have a full understanding of his situation,” said club official Stefan Johannsson. 

“We don’t want to force him to come here, especially considering that we don’t know when the league will start.”

Omagbemi, 34, has previously played in Finland and India.
